The closed back design guarantees ambient noise attenuation. What's more, neutral and direct sound characteristics are produced by the DT 660 closed back headphones that would normally only be achieved by a headphone with an open design.

Three dimensional sophisticated sound, with brilliant detailed notes is achieved thanks to beyerdynamic's high gauss, neodymium magnets and precision coil winding.

Groundbreaking new material has been used for the diaphragm to enable distortion-free bass and fast transient response which makes the DT 660 ideal for Studio and DJ implementation. You can easily drive the DT 660 without amplification. However, to really bring out the extra dynamics a little boost, for example by a headphone amplifier goes a long way.

High comfort, even when worn for hours, is assured by the exclusive design of beyerdynamic's patented "breathable" ear-pads, which come in both fabric and leatherette. And when not in use, the DT 660 can be folded and stowed in even the smallest places.
